Technical Reports: About technical reports

How to find technical reports

Technical reports can be tricky.  Follow these steps to try to track down a technical report.

  1. Check the "Online and full text technical reports" list (see below) to see if a PDF is online or find more information.
  2. Search Our Collections for the title or authors of the report to see if it's in the MIT Libraries collections.
  3. Fill out the Library Storage Annex (LSA) Request form. Many technical reports are not cataloged. LSA staff will let you know if we have the report in print, microfiche, microfilm or other formats.  It will be delivered to campus.
  4. If the report is not found in the LSA, the LSA staff will forward the request to librarians in the Engineering & Science Libraries.  The librarians will investigate further and notify you with more information or further instructions.
