• You need time - at least 30 minutes to do this installation.
• You need to have MIT Certificates installed on your computer in order to download Cambridge Structural Database.
• Installations
  • Windows  installation
  • MAC installation
  • Access via Athena terminal

Windows installation

Read readme.txt and Release and Installation Notes: CSD System, 2009 release

• Remove 2008 version first or install 2009 version to a new folder.
• Go to http://web.mit.edu/software/win.html and click "Cambrige Structural Database" link on the left hand side column and download the zip file https://wserv.mit.edu/fcgi-bin/softcount?product=libraries/CSD-System-2009.zip
• During unzipping process you will be asked for the CSD MIT specific site number and confirmation code.  You will find that information at: https://libraries.mit.edu/secure/csd.html (requires certificates)

MAC installation

• Read readme.txt and Release and Installation Notes: CSD System, 2009 release!
• Remove 2008 version!
• Go to http://web.mit.edu/software/mac.html and click "Cambrige Structural Database" link on the left hand side column and download the "dmg" file https://wserv.mit.edu/fcgi-bin/softcount?product=libraries/CSD-System-2009-DVD.dmg
• During unpundling you will need the CSD MIT specific site number and confirmation code from  https://libraries.mit.edu/secure/csd.htm.

Athena terminal access

• add cambsd
• cq (to run ConQuest)
• mercury (to run Mercury)
• vista (to run Vista)
• prequest (to run PreQuest)
• mogul (to run Mogul)
