If you have questions about research in Anthropology, Archaeology, History, Philosophy, or Science, Technology, & Society (STS), Michelle is happy to help. She can consult with you on topics ranging from pre-history to current events. Michelle can suggest strategies to search catalogs and databases more effectively. She also works with colleagues in the library to track down specialized business, government, legal, or technical information.
One of Michelle's specialties is helping researchers find primary sources - both online and analog - such as historical newspapers and magazines, unique or hard-to-find publications, personal papers, and archival records. If you have a historical topic in mind, she help you think through where to get the documents and sources you need.
Whether your topic is squarely in a subject or crosses disciplines, Michelle can help you find information at MIT and beyond!
Michelle has been with the MIT Libraries since 2006. Before that, she was the History and Political Science Librarian at Boston College.
