There are many specialized encyclopedias; this list is selective, not complete.

The MIT Libraries' default search box will give you a quick overview of our holdings on a topic. Includes print and electronic resources, and will show you books, journal articles, and media (audio and video.)  

BartonPlus is great for exploring a topic; it is not always the best way to determine if MIT owns a particular item.
