The Gifts Program is responsible for answering questions from staff and potential donors regarding gifts of material and for receiving and processing all gift/free materials accepted for addition to our collection.
Gifts of materials become the property of the MIT Libraries. All gifts are considered to be unrestricted. We cannot return any material that is not added to our collections.
Information for donors, including our criteria for acceptance, can be found on the Giving Page: http://libraries.mit.edu/giving/opportunities/materials/. Please note that as of June 2009, we are no longer accepting donations of journal issues.
Our office is open Monday through Friday, 10-5.
