Finding Scholarly Articles in Literary Studies
The article databases listed below are excellent resources for locating literary scholarship. Some just contain descriptions of the articles, whereas others include the full text of each article. You may want to search more than one to be most comprehensive.
- MLA International BibliographyLiterature, languages, linguistics, and folklore from over 4,000 journals and series published worldwide.
- ABELL - The Annual Bibliography of English Language and Literature (part of LION)Contains over 500,000 records covering monographs, periodical articles, critical editions of literary works, book reviews, collections of essays and doctoral dissertations published anywhere in the world from 1920 onwards.
- JSTOR Scholarly Journal ArchiveContains full-text of articles from Humanities and Social Sciences journals (usually not the most current)
- Project MuseContains full-text of articles from Humanities and Social Sciences journals (usually just most recent issues)
