Monograph Acquisitions: Checklist for RUSH Orders

Checklist for RUSH Orders

Last Revised March 2011

There are 2 primary reasons for making an order RUSH – Reader Request or Course Reserve.  Orders for reference books will be made rush only upon request by the selector. On rare occasions, we may rush an order to take advantage of a special price offer or if requested by the selector for such reasons as the Impulse Borrowing Shelves or an author visit to campus.

All Rush orders should be given top priority in daily workflows for both ordering and receiving.

NOTE: RUSH YBP and L&C orders should be placed via GOBI using our RUSH accounts, 1010-17 or 1010-66 respectively.

  • RECEIVING in Aleph

--Print the arrival form to accompany the book
--Place the book on the RUSH shelf (top shelf of bookcase just outside cubby currently occupied by Jane) for cataloging to pickup.
