Monograph Acquisitions: Books on trucks

Books on trucks

(Last Reviewed March 2011)

If you see a book on a truck in 14E-210 which interests you, please do not just pick up the book and 'borrow' it for a while.

Different book trucks have different purposes and destinations and it is important that the books stay where they belong in the workflow so the don't miss a processing stage, or get separated from an invoice and unnecessarily reordered or claimed. Even the order of books on a shelf sometimes makes a difference.

Book trucks also move around alot, within the office and out of it, so even taking a book to browse for a couple of hours can be dangerous, as it may be difficult to find out where it should go when you return.

You're welcome to put a RUSH flag (or a note that you would like to be notified when the item is ready for circulation) into any book you would like to see when it is available. Or ask a staff member to do so for you.

Thank you for your cooperation.
