There There: Whose Lands?

Native Land Digital is a Canadian not-for-profit organization that has worked to digitally map the land, territories, and languages of Indigenous people across the globe. Using a sourced approach of combining oral history, written documents, and maps, this project is a continuous work in progress. For more information on their approach, updates, and how to use the map, visit native-land.ca.

Whose Lands?

This embedded map uses APIs to triangulate on the unceded territory MIT currently occupies, that of the Wôpanâak (Wampanoag) Tribe. To further explore the full map and its capabilities, please visit https://native-land.ca/.
