These sources provide economic data and forecasts and risk information (country, business, political, and economic risk) about geographic markets worldwide. They also provide overviews of business environments, regulatory barriers, foreign direct investment, intellectual property rights and protections, and government policies which may support or inhibit industrial or technology development.
China Data Online
Statistics and reports on China's population, economy, and industries at the county or city level.
Statistical tables on socio-economic parameters in over 16 classifications with analyzed & condensed tables. Click on "IP Login" to gain access to MIT's subscription. Works best with Internet Explorer browser. Try refreshing the page in your browser if you experience problems accessing data.
Reserve Bank of India
Select the "Database" to access Indian economic data.
Business Monitor International
Industry sector, economic, political and company analyses. To find a specific type of report, select the Advanced Search link at the top of the home page. Then, select your desired country and analysis from the drop-down menus.
EIU Country Intelligence
Analysis of historical, political, infrastructural, and economic trends and forecasts, including business conditions. Firefox is the recommended browser. Works best with Firefox browser.
International Financial Statistics (via Global Insight)
Source for international finance and economic data for IMF member countries. Available data varies by country. See http://libraries.mit.edu/dewey/ifs.html for further help.
Source OECD Databases
Search for and extract data from across all OECD statistical databases. To jump to "Economic Outlook" reports, in PDF, for China and India, select the Books tab from the homepage, then select Country Studies from the left-hand menu on the next screen.
