Library access is limited to:
- MIT faculty, students, and staff and their invited guests in compliance with MIT’s campus access policies.
- Visitors who have been issued a Tim Ticket by Distinctive Collections or for Libraries business or events.

Reciprocal faculty borrowing program
The Online Computer Library Center (OCLC) is a cooperative library organization which includes the MIT Libraries and more than 160 other research libraries.
OCLC has a program which provides faculty members on-site access and borrowing privileges at member libraries.
To take advantage of this OCLC program as a visitor to the MIT Libraries:
- Please contact Document Services in advance to enroll for library privileges.
- Document Services is open by appointment only, between the hours of 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday.
