Selector's Toolkit: Wish lists

resources for collection analysis

About wish lists

There are nine wish list spreadsheets (two per CoP, two central, and one for Open Access support) which selectors can use to recommend resources to add to the collection. There are two types of wish lists for CoPs:

  • Wish list 1: Candidates for one-time purchase, e.g., journal backfiles, e-book packages, digitized primary sources.
  • Wish list 2: Candidates for continuing resources subscription, e.g., journals, databases, serial resources.

How to use wish lists: Documentation describing fields included in wish list spreadsheet, priority levels, and process of using wish lists.

  • Prioritization is done collaboratively CoPs members and/or collection strategists; the OA wishlist is prioritized by Scholarly Communications Initiatives members.
  • All selectors should have access to all nine Google Docs (contact your collection strategist if you don't have access)
