SFX KnowledgeBase

The KnowledgeBase is the behind-the-scenes database of journal titles and databases for MIT linking.

Responsibility for the SFX KnowledgeBase resides within AMES, with staff from Acquisitions, Metadata, and Enterprise Systems. Oversite of SFX in relation to other library systems is the responsibility of the Integrating Systems Operations Team (ISOT).

The core staff working with the KnowledgeBase are:

SFX Menu and Buttons

The SFX menu has been customized for the MIT environment:

• If we don't have the full text online, we show links to Interlibrary Borrowing and Document Services.
• The link to Barton always appears and will automatically search for the item in the catalog.

Customization of the SFX menu and SFX buttons are the responsibility of ISOT, which includes staff representing the User Experience (UX) group.
