NE36 Conference Rooms: 4-6 Person Conference Rooms

Technical Assistance

For technical assistance or to report a problem with any of the NE36 conference rooms, please submit a request to MIT Libraries Help Center and be sure to include the keywords “Libraries – NE36 AV” along with the room you have an issue with.

Using the Equipment in a 4-6 Person Conference Room

• Turn on the monitor - Press the On button on the Extron panel to the left of the monitor
  • Wait for the monitor to power on (5-10 sec.)
• Use the In-Room PC with the wireless keyboard and mouse
                       OR
• Attach the HDMI cable below the monitor to your laptop
  • Press the HDMI button to have your laptop display on the screen
• Tap the Volume Up/Down buttons on the Extron panel to adjust the output volume
  • You may need to tap this button repeatedly, press and hold doesn't work as well.

When you are through using the room:

• Press the PC button on the Extron panel to return to the default setting
• Press the Off button to power off the monitor

Video Conferencing in a 4-6 Person Conference Room

Use the in-room PC for best results.  The web camera is only connected to the in-room PC.  You will not have access to it on your laptop.

• Open your browser of choice
• Start or Join the meeting
  • Choose Computer Audio to use the web camera as microphone and the TV as sound output
    OR
  • Choose Call Me and enter the room's conference phone number to use the conference phone. (Best)
    Phone numbers are clearly marked on each phone
• Close all browsers and applications when through using the computer
• Leave the computer on and power off the monitor by pressing the Off button on the Extron panel
