Environment for Administrative Staff: Review

Salary Review

Salaries for Administrative Staff are set in accordance with salary ranges established by the Institute for all staff members at the Institute. The Libraries set salaries for new staff members based on their qualifications, taking into consideration the salaries of existing staff members and the limitations of the budget. In conjunction with the annual salary review, the Institute revises all ranges based on comparative studies, the cost of living, and other appropriate factors. From time to time, the Institute and the Libraries review salaries for equity and make needed adjustments.

Six Month Reviews and Performance Evaluations

All new staff members and staff members in new positions have a performance evaluation at the conclusion of the probationary appointment (six months). Thereafter, all staff members have an annual performance evaluation.
