D&B Historical Records
Provides access to over 45 years of point-in-time data for U.S. private and public companies. Data goes back to 1969 with the exception of 1981 and 1984 which are unavailable This resource can also be accessed via Mergent Data Explr
platform. Register for an account using your MIT email.
Lists public, private, and nonprofit global companies that can be searched using a set of criteria and downloaded. Company profile includes news, corporate overviews, financial data, market research reports, analyst reports, executive biographies, SWOT analysis, significant developments, strategic initiatives, industry norms, and market share.
Data Axle (formerly Reference USA)
Directory information on U.S. and Canadian business, health care, and residential listings. Search by company name, geographic area, business type, SIC code, yellow page listing, revenue, location, number of employees or any combination of the above. In addition to address and phone number, each entry includes officer names and titles, corporate affiliation, business type and size of yellow page advertising. Toll free and fax numbers are given for some companies.
Historical, global coverage of equities, stock markets, commodities, futures, currencies, options, bond markets, company financials, and economic data. Dealscan (via WRDS)
Source for information on the global commercial loan market. These transactions finance M&A activity, working capital needs and other general corporate purposes for loan participants world-wide. Dealscan sources include regulatory filings, bank submissions and journalist contributions.
Direct Marketing Educational Foundation -DMEF (via WRDS)
Four individual data sets, each containing customer buying history for about 100,000 customers of nationally known catalog and non-profit database marketing businesses are available through DMEF to approved academic researchers for use within academic situations.
Dow Jones Averages & Total Return Indexes (via WRDS)
