SciFinder is the most comprehensive discovery tool of chemical information. SciFindern is the new interface for SciFinder. SciFinder classic interface has retired on December 30, 2022. As of June 2024, MIT affiliates have access to all solutions in the CAS SciFinder Discovery Platform, including SciFindern and ChemZent, Analytical Methods, and Formulus.
The MIT community (MIT faculty, students, post-docs & other researchers, and staff) are authorized to use SciFinder Discovery Platform, including SciFindern , Analytical Methods, and Formulus, for academic research purposes only. There is no walk-in access available for non-MIT affiliates. Read more on Authorized Use.

You must access the databases via the above links with MIT library proxy informaiton to use SciFindern. VPN connections alone may not work without the proxy information.
You need to log in with your account each time you use it.
If you have a previous account via other institutions, you will need to register again using your MIT email address and use a different username.
