Common tasks

Logging in/your account

Option 1: Go to your guide and use the login link in the lower right.
Option 2: Go to https://mit.libapps.com/libguides/
Can't find your guide? See: Editing and managing your guides
You may login using your LibGuides username/password or use the Touchstone link in the right column.
Updating your LibGuides profile

Adding/editing content

Adding/reusing pages - only use tabbed navigation, NOT side navigation
Adding/reusing boxes
Adding content to boxes
Editing the column layout - use only 1 column or 75/25 or 25/75 or 25/50/25
Reorder and move boxes
Creating "friendly" URLs: Guide | Page
Linking to other LibGuide pages - use the PAGE URL under the tabs in editing mode (do NOT use the URL listed in your browser while in editing or preview mode!)

Creating and managing guides

Creating a guide - if creating a class or staff guide, be sure to select appropriate option under "Group" (public guides - do not assign a group)

Adding a class guide to the Class Guides page

At top of guide, in the "Tag" field, add "2019-fall" or "2019-spring" (change year/semester as appropriate) - that's it!
If there is no box for the new semester displaying on the Class Guides page yet, contact UX/Web Services to request it.
