Libraries Staff

Outside of Hayden's operating hours, Libraries staff may use their MIT ID's for 24/7 access to the building by tapping their MIT IDs on the card pad next to any Libraries entrance. All Libraries staff will have the same access to Hayden, regardless of their office location, (as card taps are controlled by the all-lib email list). 

Other Members of the MIT Community

Non-Libraries MIT Community members can access Hayden after hours by tapping their MIT IDs on the card pad next to any Libraries entrance. Access to specific parts of the building may be restricted based on their status at MIT. 

Non-MIT Community visitors may access Hayden Library during its operating hours.

• Vendors must be met at the doors and escorted to their drop-off locations. Anyone who enters the building should be considered someone's "guest" - those scheduling deliveries, expecting company, etc. are responsible for these individuals and will need to be available to grant them access to Hayden Library and its offices.
