If you are having trouble seeing or booking the rooms on Outlook, please submit a ticket through the Libraries' Jira Service Management portal

Further information about the conference rooms, including capacities and AV capabilities can be found here: Conference and Meeting Rooms

Lactation Room Policies

Overview

The Hayden Library Lactation Room is intended for use by nursing persons, in coordination with the MIT Center for Work Life and Wellbeing and in alignment with campus-wide standards and requirements. If scheduling permits, current Libraries staff members may request use of the room for other medical or religious uses. (Examples might include telehealth appointments, administering injections, or private prayer.)

Please observe the following procedures:

  • Submit your request by filling out this form. Your information will be kept confidential. Requests are managed by the Libraries’ Community Engagement team (ce-lib@mit.edu).
  • You will only need to fill out the form once.
  • When your request is approved, you will receive information on scheduling and room access, and will be able to reserve it when you need it.
  • We are using a calendar to ensure everyone’s privacy and safety, so while the room is not available for drop-in use, approved users can book available slots on demand.
  • All users of the room must follow the room’s cleaning and usage protocols.  At present the Institute’s safety protocols require that we leave 30 minutes between all reservations.
  • Remember that in case of conflict, priority will always go to nursing persons.  Every effort will be made to accommodate all requests.
