This team was officially retired on August 31, 2020, and work in this area was transferred to the Service Restart Project Team.
This team is responsible for defining a single approach to the Office of Open Learning (OOL) to identify opportunities for the Libraries to interact with Canvas, which is the new learning management system (LMS) licensed by MIT. The group will define an approach and the questions they are trying to understand, and will eventually meet with the OOL.
The Canvas Response Team reports to the Services Monitoring Synthesis Team.
The team members are from LIRS, ID&LA, and ITS. There is overlap with the Teaching & Learning Response Team as well as E-reserves. Other units that may have interest in Canvas are represented by the Services Monitoring Synthesis Team.
The Canvas Response Team completed its consideration of questions for the Office of Open Learning. Work related to integrating the Libraries into Canvas for teaching in the spring has moved to LIRS and the Teaching & Learning Response Team. Work related to reserves is being handled by ID&LA and the Restart Team.
The team's work is complete.
