Administrative Services supports the MIT Libraries' mission and goals in the areas of Budget & Financial, Facilities & Operations, Personnel and Staff Services.

About Marketing and Communications

Marketing and Communications increases the visibility of the MIT Libraries and advances its mission by:

  • Providing direction, coordination, and support for external communications, advertising, and promotion across the organization
  • Ensure cohesive branding, style, and voice across all content and communications
  • Telling stories of the Libraries’ impact on teaching, learning, research, the MIT community, and more
  • Keeping the MIT community and others informed of library services, collections, activities, events, and research
  • Managing the Libraries’ presence and messaging across print and digital channels, including social media
  • Handling media requests and public relations in coordination with the MIT News Office
  • Composing and editing text for the MIT Libraries news site, MIT News, donor communications, and various Institute publications 
  • Improving staff-facing communications through support for and guidance on internal communications practices and systems
