Administrative Services supports the MIT Libraries' mission and goals in the areas of Budget & Financial, Facilities & Operations, Personnel and Staff Services.

About Communications

What We Do

We share clear, compelling, and relevant content in support of the Libraries' goals.

We do this through external communications:

  • Promoting library events, services, and collections 
  • Serving as a contact for members of the media
  • Overseeing the use of the Libraries’ brand
  • Representing the Libraries in MIT-wide publications 
  • Collaborating with leadership on messaging to the MIT community, donors, and the public

We also work to improve internal (staff-facing) communications:

  • Making information clearer, more accessible, and easier to find
  • Developing norms and guidelines for tools
  • Providing opportunities for feedback and sharing
